Who we hire
- Our backgrounds are in operations, project management and new service launches. We do not directly hire technologists, that side of Slivers-of-Time is outsourced to Torchbox Ltd. Everyone here is a foot soldier; constantly explaining what these markets can do, how they work and how to get them launched. Experience in a sales environment is good preparation for this.
Our work environment
We deal directly with cabinet ministers, business leaders, the media and people from some of the most deprived areas of the UK. The work is heads-down intense. The pay's average. Our offices are humble. But it's exciting, there's potential for share options and we see our project making a real impact on people's lives. There is a strong sense of social purpose underpinning our ambitions for these markets. But, because of the start-up costs of our project, we accept the disciplines of a commercial company.
- This is not a hyperactive Internet environment. We believe in work/life balance. Work is built around routines: Monday morning team meetings, monthly strategy off-sites, a personal review every 6 weeks. Extremely well developed personal organisation skills are essential for team members.
