Objectives for launch

Worklink currently have 16 employment projects in hand. It is believed Slivers-of-Time can contribute to all of them in different ways.

Current status

200 sellers have been identified from among:

• Local registrants at www.sliversoftime.com
• Existing Worklink clients

Significant outreach to council departments and local private sector employers. Council will be inducting Slivers-of-Time sellers in groups of 8-10 to ensure a constant supply of top-up workers from that point on.

Agreement has been obtained from Decision Makers at JobCentres in the area that Incapacity Benefit claimants can do 12 months of 16 hours per week Slivers-of-Time Working as a route into conventional employment. Slivers-of-Time Working is listed on the JCP computer system as an opportunity for claimants.
